But there’s more to Sŵn y than just sunbathing on the beach or exploring dunes. The facilities at mean that, whatever the weather, there’s a lot to do for all the family. Work out in the heated indoor pool or relax by the kid’s outdoor ‘splash’ pool.

The off site experience

The Mid Wales coast is famed for its charming villages and pubs, for miles of sandy beaches and dunes – so there’s a lot to see and do in the area.
Sŵn y Môr Caravan & Touring Park itself nestles between safe sandy beaches and dunes on one side, a lovely links golf course and is surrounded by a national bird and nature reserve.
Gentle seaside strolls, rugged mountain hikes, pony trekking and cycling are excellent ways to enjoy this spectacular scenery. With ample opportunities for angling, sailing and golf there’s plenty to do for the fit and sporty.
Adjacent to Sŵn y Môr Caravan & Touring Park is Borth & Ynyslas Golf Club. This is a challenging Par 70; a classic ‘out and back’ seaside golf links.
For the fit and keen holidaymaker there is a very pleasant (but challenging) cliff-edge costal walk between Aberystwyth and Borth.
The Vale of Rheidol Railway runs for nearly 12 miles from Aberystwyth to Devil's Bridge. On the hour-long journey passengers have spectacular views of the wooded Rheidol Valley. At Devil's Bridge, there are walks to Mynach Falls, Devil's Punchbowl and Jacob's Ladder. At Devil's Bridge spectacular 300ft waterfalls and three bridges span a breathtaking woodland gorge. Local legend has it that the first bridge was built by the Devil. In reality it was built in the 11th century by hardworking monks.
